Our Co-Artistic Director, Ben Harrison, and Artistic Associate, Allie Butler, have recently returned from their third trip, since 2019, to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, as guests of Al-Harah Theatre, supported by the British Council office in East Jerusalem.

Ben and Allie travelled to attend the second edition of the Bethlehem Site-Specific Theatre Festival which featured work from local directors that they had trained in Grid Iron’s methodology of working on location during a workshop back in April.  They were also surprised and delighted to be given an award recognising their collaboration with Al-Harah Theatre over the past few years.

We are extremely proud of their contribution to such an important multi-generational, multi-spatial project that gives a vital voice to Palestinian artists.
